Christian Pulisic is off the mark in Serie A for the 2025-26 season after scoring Milan's second goal in what was ultimately a routine 2-0 win over Lecce on Friday.
Milan were firmly in control in the 84th minute, but held an admittedly narrow 1-0 lead. Pulisic changed that, capitalizing on a defensive collapse to ghost in behind and finish at the near post past a sprawling goalkeeper. It is his second strike of the campaign.
The goal marked a successful night for Milan's American contingent. Yunus Musah was handed a rare start, and impressed at right wing back, playing all 90 minutes and serving as a crucial creative outlet for the Italian giants. Milan were entirely in control throughout, winning the possession battle, and outshooting the home side, 14-7. They had two goals ruled out on the night.Â

WHAT NEXT FOR PULISIC?
The USMNT star's attention now turns to the national team, where he will be in contention to feature in friendlies against Japan ans South Korea next week. Milan's next game is a trip to Bologna on Sept. 14.Â
